Research
My work focuses on building and validating geospatial AI systems that turn large environmental datasets into decision-ready insights—for carbon accounting, biodiversity monitoring, and ecosystem service quantification.

Radar-Based Bat Monitoring
Free-tailed bats consume billions of insects annually. We built BATS—a Python toolkit using NEXRAD weather radar—to monitor roost emergence behavior at landscape scale and link it to insecticide reductions on farms.

Forest Carbon Remote Sensing
Forests store vast amounts of carbon, but tracking how those stocks change over time is difficult at scale. We fuse LiDAR, SAR, and optical imagery with machine learning to produce reliable landscape-level estimates of forest biomass and carbon flux.
